About The Project
The Home 2 Suites by Hilton is a 106-unit 65,000 square hotel with 4 stories. It is constructed primarily using wood and wood components. However, structural steel beams and columns were utilized on the main level to provide open public areas.
Designed with speed of construction in mind, the exterior walls were designed and constructed as pre-assembled wall panels. Floor and roof framing were constructed utilizing pre-engineered trusses. Even the elevator shafts and stair towers were constructed using fire-rated wood-framed wall assemblies.
