About The Project
The multi-purpose addition is a new 6,400-seat arena adjoining the existing Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. The design included large super trusses with 240-foot clear span, and the foundation is driven piles. This expansion has multiple levels of seating; locker rooms and storage behind the scenes; and vast amounts of rigging grids for shows and related events. The facility was designed to be flexible, allowing the space to be adaptable to many distinctly different types of events.
