About The Project
The Benedictine Sisters constructed a two-story monastery to allow them to relocate from the existing St. Martin’s facility in anticipation of the relocation of the St. Elizabeth Seton Elementary School for the Rapid City Catholic School System to what is now known as the Terra Sancta complex. The facility includes a tall chapel area with heavy timber trusses, a full commercial kitchen, living quarters, office areas, a library, a garage, maintenance areas, and spaces serving many other functions.
