About The Project
The existing dated dental office facility for Loftus Dental was not capable of providing the spaces needed for the growing dental practice and was landlocked in a tight location with poor visibility, limited parking, and confusing access.
A new location was chosen for a new two-story facility in a fast-growing part of Rapid City. The site contained thick layers of gypsum bedrock, including some portions sticking out of the ground prior to construction. Many foundation and framing options were reviewed to determine the best approach to deal with the gypsum, sloping grade challenges, flexibility of spaces, and length of construction — all while maintaining the budget for the project.
